Toxic hepatitis may still foreign to most people. But if not handled properly can cause liver failure. Anything that can cause toxic hepatitis?

Toxic hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. Toxic hepatitis due to liver affected by too much exposure of toxic chemicals, taking drugs or consuming a poisonous mushroom.

In some cases, toxic hepatitis can occur in a matter of hours, days or even months due to the use of toxic continually.

Hepatitis is caused by drug consumption because of the drug substance that can poison the liver. Drugs that often cause toxic hepatitis are cancer drugs such as chemotherapy. But this depends on the sensitivity of each person’s body.

“If someone shows these symptoms stop taking the drug immediately and immediately taken to hospital for liver damage not bigger,” said the doctor Doctors Association of Indonesian Internist (PAPDI).

Potentially affected drug is toxic hepatitis due to consumption of some types of drugs that can cause lung autoimmune hepatitis, especially for people who are hypersensitive and should be monitored on their use.

There is also a cholesterol drug that can cause direct toxic hepatitis, should be a month after taking the drug laboratory examination of AST and ALT values.

“Not all people have hepatitis depends on the metabolism of toxic, allergic reactions and hypersensitivity how much that person. Is that the higher the sensitivity of his liver damage which may be caused also greater,” added the doctor who practiced at MMC Hospital at Kuningan Jakarta.

But that does not mean people should be anti-drug. Dr Dante says that people should not fear the drug. During the drug is consumed by the rules and properly monitored it will not effect the short and long term. Another important thing to note is that self-identify sensitivity.
